I decided to move away from brew kits and start from grains. Last kit was an all grain kit and I am never going back to LME based kits. The results were brewing my best and cleanest tasting brew ever. Now I am taking the next step. Bought the Victoria grain mill for a great price on Monster Brew and ground up about 11lbs of grain. The mill works great and did the job with minimal effort and in about a 1/2 hour. Brew day is today so we will see how it all turns out.

Easy to assemble. Easy to use. A must have for Munton's Pale Malt or any other unmilled malt.

So, i bought this mill because its probably the cheapest way to crush your own grain at home. The item itself comes with a hopper that can mill about 2lbs at a time. The assembly is pretty much self explanatory but the outside of the package shows you what item goes where. Now, the goods: Its cheap, affordable, and adjustable. I haven't had a major issue with the mill. It does the job and i can always adjust the size of the crush. I like that it comes with a clamp that can be attached to the table which really helps when you're doing a fine crush. The not so great: it comes with an metal coating that is not only oily but may come off when crushing. I had to use a brillo pad and soap to rinse off and remove any coating it had. Also, the bottom clamp is kind of annoying because you can only clamp to one side and the distance from the table to the mill is pretty close so not much fits. My final word: If you really need to save on a mill this is right for you. This is alright right for you if you are milling 5-6 lbs of grain instead of a typical 10 lbs+. Dont get me wrong im still going to use it, but it is inconvenient. 3.5 stars.

Tough to set for the right grind for brewing. Either ends up under cracked or ground to powder. Roller mills are better. It is very well made and would be great for other types of grinsing.
